The Stay Well Project:
Our health outreach program entitled Stay Well is well underway! In this project, we have partnered with University Hospitals to educate under-served, Cleveland-area residents about important, health-related issues that are pertinent to their communities. Our goal is to assist our clients in finding resources that can help them to increase and maintain the wellness of themselves and of their families. There is a strong emphasis placed on diet and lifestyle as a factor in managing and preventing disease.

The Stay Well Project, supported generously by Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation, connects doctors and health professionals from University Hospitals to four low-income communities around the greater Cleveland area. Every month, a different health topic is covered in each of the four communities. So far, topics such as Diabetes Awareness, Understanding Cancer, The Ins and Outs of Taking Your Meds, and All About Hypertension have been covered. We are very excited because we have already seen results! People have lost weight and improved their blood pressure levels, and the good news keeps rolling in!
