About the Stay Well Project:

The Stay Well Project is the latest program by the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. We are partnering with University Hospitals to provide information to underserved, Cleveland-area residents about important, health-related issues that are pertinent to their communities. Our goal is to assist our clients in increasing and maintaining the wellness of themselves and of their families, even with minimal resources available to them. We place a strong emphasis on diet and lifestyle as a factor in managing and preventing disease.

Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Diabetes

  • Hypertension

  • Mental Disorders

  • The Ins and Outs of Taking Medication

  • The Stay Well Project connects doctors and health professionals from University Hospitals as well as students from Case Western Reserve University medical school to four low-income communities around the greater Cleveland area. Every month, a different health topic is covered in each of the four communities.

The mission of Stay Well is to educate communities about important issues that affect their daily lives. For example, our Stay Well Discussion on, "The Ins and Outs of Taking Your Meds," aims to help people fully understand how their prescriptions are supposed to be taken.
The program has been made possible by generous support from Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation.
