  • 60,000 people per month receive emergency food at one of our center or hot meal programs... that is 17,000 more than the capacity of Progressive Field.

  • The Hunger Network purchases food from the food bank and other food wholesalers and then puts that nutritious food directly into the hands of the truly needy.


  • The Hunger Network is an effective and efficient delivery system with centers strategically located throughout Cleveland's neighborhoods and surrounding suburbs.


  • The Hunger Network distributes food at over 100 hunger center pantries and hot meal programs throughout Cuyahoga County.


  • More than 1,000 caring volunteers work in our centers and provide more then just food to the people we serve.


  • 94% of the Hunger Network's annual expenses are for program costs, while 5% is for fundraising and .61% is for administrative costs.


  • The Hunger Network employs a full time staff member (Community Liaison) who performs onsite direct client and agency outreach to connect the hungry to other vital resources including, but not limited to, food stamps, child care, health care, job assistance, rental and utility assistance.

    It isn 't easy to find or eat healthy food for everyone. Though many people take easy access to fresh produce for granted, there are many people right here in the greater Cleveland area who don 't have the resources to eat healthily. Countless people live in areas where access to healthy food is limited or nonexistent, and many more lack the resources to purchase this food even if readily available.     FACTS:

    Over 60,000 people per month...

    1. The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland is the largest emergency hunger relief program dispensing 75% of all the emergency food in Cuyahoga County

    2. This network has over 100 pantries and hot meal programs, feeding nutritious meals to 60,000 people per month!

    3. Lack of food puts children at risk for health and development problems; 25,000 or almost 41% of those we serve each month are children!

    4. 94 cents of every dollar raised by the Hunger Network goes directly to purchase food and support our programs!
